Young is a
Korean interpreter with more than 25 years of experience in legal proceedings, government matters and business settings. As a licensed
court interpreter and Certified Mediator with more than 20 years of mediation experience, Young provides
interpretation services for trials, hearings and depositions. This work also covers attorney conferences, witness communications and mediations, as well as investigations and other sensitive proceedings in courts, law offices and government agencies. A seasoned
legal interpreter, Young handles consecutive and simultaneous assignments on-site, by video and by phone while maintaining accuracy, neutrality and confidentiality. Experience in municipal leadership from 2017 to 2023 included economic development, finance and judicial matters, providing firsthand knowledge of government processes and public-sector terminology. Young also understands real estate development, investment and contract negotiations in Korean–U.S. business relationships. This broad perspective supports communication involving complex terminology, executive discussions and cultural nuance. Young recognizes differences in formality, hierarchy and indirect expression between Korean and English while preserving each speaker’s tone, intent and meaning. As a
Korean translator, Young provides
Korean to English translation and review for contracts, legal documents and court-related records. Additional
document translation covers business correspondence, corporate communications and government materials, along with statements, declarations and other professional documents. Young approaches
legal translation by preserving the source text’s terminology, tone and intended meaning rather than relying on mechanical word-for-word rendering.
