USCIS requires a complete English translation with a signed certification for every foreign-language document in the file, and the officer can ask to see the originals at the interview.

01How far in advance should I book an on-site interpreter?
Book as soon as you have the date. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic and Russian interpreters are available in most areas. Rare languages and specialized matters, such as a deposition or a surgical consultation, need more notice so we can match the right interpreter.
02How is an on-site booking priced?
By the hour, for the hours you book, and the total shows before you pay. Travel inside the interpreter's metro area is included in the hourly rate. Longer trips are quoted as a separate line when you book.
03Are the interpreters certified?
Yes. Court matters go to interpreters with federal or state court certification, medical appointments to CCHI or NBCMI certified interpreters, and technical work to interpreters who know the subject.
04Which cities and states do you cover?
All 50 states. Coverage is densest in the large metro areas. Outside them we still send an interpreter, with more notice.
05Can the same interpreter come back for follow-up appointments?
Yes. Ask for the same interpreter when you book the next appointment, and we assign them when they are available. Bookings are tracked in your dashboard, so the history of a matter stays in one place.
06Which languages do you cover on-site?
70 languages. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian, Korean, Tagalog, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and French confirm fastest. Rare languages such as Burmese and Pashto need more notice.
07When is on-site better than video?
When the interpreter has to be in the room: court proceedings on the record, sworn statements, surgery consent, IEP meetings and site visits. Video (VRI) works well for telehealth, short depositions and HR meetings, and it can be booked with less notice.
08What does the interpreter need from me before the appointment?
The venue address and room, the start time, the kind of appointment, and anything the interpreter should read beforehand, such as a case summary or a medical history. Add them as notes when you book, or send them to us in chat.
