01What is consecutive interpretation?
The speaker says a sentence or short passage, pauses, and the interpreter renders it into the other language. It is the format used in depositions, USCIS interviews, IEP meetings, and most medical encounters because it produces a clean record where every utterance is fully rendered.
02How is it different from simultaneous?
Simultaneous runs in real time over equipment — used for conferences and large meetings. Consecutive runs in turns — slower, but cleaner for the record and works without booths or receivers.
03Which formats are supported?
On-site (in person at your location) or video / phone. The same court-certified or medically credentialed interpreter can deliver consecutive interpretation in any of the three formats.
04Are interpreters certified for legal work?
Yes. Court interpreters carry Federal Court Interpreter Certification, state court roster credentials, or NAJIT membership where applicable. Every match is verified before assignment.
05Are interpreters credentialed for medical work?
Yes. Medical interpreters carry CCHI (Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters) or NBCMI (National Board for Certified Medical Interpreters) credentials.
06How far in advance should I book?
For tier-1 languages, 48 hours is enough. For specialized matters — federal depositions, USCIS interviews in rare languages, multi-day proceedings — book 5–7 business days ahead so we can match the right interpreter and brief them on the matter.
07What is the minimum booking length?
Two hours on-site, 30 minutes by video or phone. Both are billed in 30-minute increments past the booked window. We recommend padding 15–30 minutes so the interpreter does not need to leave mid-session.
08Which languages do you cover?
Over 100 languages. Tier-1 (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian, Korean, Tagalog, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, French, Polish) confirm fastest. Rare languages — Karen, Burmese, Pashto, Tigrinya, Quechua — are supported with longer lead times.
