01Do you convert my grades into a US GPA?
No — and evaluators specifically do not want us to. The translation renders your grades and grading scale exactly as your institution defines them; the evaluator then applies their own conversion methodology. A translation with a homemade GPA on it reads as tampering.
02Will WES accept the translation?
Yes. WES and similar services receive a complete certified translation with a signed Certificate of Accuracy, grading key included. Check your evaluator’s submission rules — some want documents sent by the university — and scope the translation to match.
03My transcript uses a 20-point scale with words like “notable.” How is that handled?
The scale is translated as defined, including the qualitative labels, and the official grading key from the transcript is translated with it. That combination lets the evaluator see both the number and what your institution says the number means.
04Some course titles are abbreviations. Do you expand them?
Where the transcript or its key defines the abbreviation, we expand it per that definition. Where it does not, the abbreviation is preserved with a translator’s note rather than guessed into a course you may never have taken.
