Where it gets filed

Money talks — once it’s translated.

Bank statements are how you prove funds exist: for a visa officer, a university issuing an I-20, a sponsor’s affidavit, or a lender. Every one of those readers verifies numbers against words — so the words must say precisely what the bank said, and the numbers must remain the bank’s.

Visa applications

Consulates ask for proof of funds and read the statements themselves. A certified translation that mirrors the bank’s layout lets an officer verify balances in seconds instead of setting the file aside.

Universities and I-20s

International offices verify funding before issuing an I-20. Fresh statements, translated with amounts and dates exact, are what moves that verification off someone’s pending pile.

USCIS and sponsors

Support filings lean on financial evidence. Officers match statement balances against the sponsorship claims, so consistency between the statement and the forms is part of the evidence.

Lenders and landlords

Mortgage files and rental applications for newcomers run on foreign statements. A certified translation converts them from a foreign artifact into underwritable data.

What gets translated

The bank’s words, the bank’s numbers.

A statement is a table of facts issued by an institution. The translation renders the language around those facts and leaves the facts alone.

Amounts, unconverted

Balances and transactions stay in the original currency — converting money on a translation invents numbers the bank never issued.

Account details and periods

Account identifiers, statement periods, and dates carried across exactly — the frame verification hangs on.

Transaction descriptions

Payment references, payer and payee lines, and bank codes rendered precisely — the entries reviewers actually read.

Bank marks and stamps

Letterheads, stamps, and signature blocks described in place, keeping the statement attributable to its bank.

Holder name, aligned

The account holder rendered consistently with the passport and the application the statement supports.

Balance certifications

Bank-issued balance letters translated alongside statements when the receiver asks for both.

Before you order

Issued statement or app screenshot — officers know the difference.

Mobile banking makes it easy to send a picture of a balance. Financial reviewers discount those on sight. What files well is the document the bank actually issues.

Bank-issued statement

Filing-safe
Issued or stamped by the bank
Full statement period with transactions
Account holder and account identifiers
Verifiable against the institution

PDF statements from online banking count when they carry the bank’s issuance marks. When in doubt, a stamped counter copy settles it.

Screenshot of a balance

Often refused
Shows a number on a screen
Bank issuance marks
Transaction history
Trivial to fabricate, and reviewers know it

If a screenshot is genuinely all that exists, we translate it as what it is — but requesting an issued statement first is almost always the better spend.

How it works

Upload to filing-ready — usually overnight.

Photograph or scan it

Take a clear photo or scan of your bank statements and upload it. The word count and the exact total show before you pay — no account needed.

A specialist linguist takes it

Your file goes to a native speaker who works with this document type every week and knows its stamps, layouts, and abbreviations on sight.

Reviewed, then certified

A second linguist checks names, dates, numbers, and layout against the original. Only then is the Certificate of Accuracy signed.

Delivered as one PDF

Translation, certificate, and a copy of the source in a single file — ready to attach to your filing or forward to whoever asked for it.

Starting at$24.95

Pricing is by word count. Statements are repetitive, and repetition is cheap by the word — a several-month run usually costs far less than people expect. The exact total shows before you pay.

FAQ

The questions that actually come up.

The ones we hear most often, answered by our dispatch and project-management teams.

Can't find it here?

01Do you convert the balances into US dollars?

No — amounts remain exactly as the bank issued them, in their original currency. A translation that converts currency has created figures the source document does not contain, and financial reviewers treat that as a defect. If the receiver wants dollar context, that is a separate exchange-rate note, and we can add one clearly marked as such.

02Do you translate every transaction line?

By default, yes — a complete statement is the safest filing. If your receiver accepts summarized periods, we can scope to opening and closing balances with the certificate stating the scope. Word-count pricing makes the full version cheaper than its page count suggests, since repeated entries cost little.

03Can I black out some transactions before sending?

You can redact what your receiver permits, and the translation will mark each redaction as such in place. Be deliberate: heavily redacted financial evidence can raise more questions than the entries would have. What must stay visible is the receiver’s rule, not ours.

04The university wants statements from the last three months. Which do I translate?

Exactly those — recency requirements are strict, and translating older statements wastes the order. Time the translation close to your submission so the statements are still inside the window when the reviewer reads them.

05How is the price calculated?

By word count. Upload the statements, we count the words, and the exact total shows before you pay — starting at $24.95. Multi-month runs are itemized per document so you can trim the scope.

06Are my financial documents kept confidential?

Yes — encrypted in transfer and storage, access limited to the assigned linguists, never shared or published. Tell us if you want files deleted after delivery and we will confirm the deletion.
