FAQ

Answers about on-site interpreters.

The ones we hear most often, answered by our dispatch and project-management teams.

Can't find it here?

01How far in advance should I book?

For tier-1 languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian) we recommend at least 48 hours. For rare languages or specialized matters — court depositions, surgical observation, IEP teams — book 5–7 business days ahead so we can match the right interpreter.

02What is the minimum booking length?

On-site sessions have a 2-hour minimum, billed in 30-minute increments past the booked window. Travel time inside a metro is included; rural travel beyond 25 miles is quoted separately.

03Are your interpreters credentialed?

Yes. All on-site interpreters are vetted on credentials relevant to the setting — Federal Court Interpreter Certification, state court rosters, CCHI / NBCMI for medical, and subject-matter qualification for technical work.

04Which cities and states do you cover?

All 50 states and 850+ U.S. cities, with deepest density in major metros (NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, DC, Boston, Bay Area, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix). Outside metros we still cover, just with longer booking lead times.

05Can the same interpreter return for follow-up appointments?

Yes. Repeat assignments are encouraged and tracked in your dashboard so the same trusted interpreter returns for ongoing matters — recurring medical visits, multi-day depositions, or weekly IEP coordination.

06What languages do you cover on-site?

Over 100 languages. Tier-1 (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian, Korean, Tagalog, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, French) confirm fastest. Rare languages — Karen, Burmese, Pashto, Tigrinya, Quechua — are absolutely supported with longer lead times.

07How is on-site different from VRI?

On-site is the right call when physical presence matters — courtrooms, surgical observation, sworn statements, IEP teams, ceremonies. VRI is faster to schedule and works well for telehealth, depositions, and HR meetings where visual cues are enough.

08How is travel handled and billed?

Inside a metro, travel is included in the hourly rate. Beyond 25 miles from the interpreter's base, mileage and time are quoted as a flat add-on at booking — no surprises after the session.
