Typical Ebre bookings
When phone works
Phone suits conversations where nobody needs to look at a form or a document. Attorneys and clients book a phone interpreter in the situations below.
A person who has just contacted a firm describes their situation on a short call, and the attorney asks about it. The interpreter interprets the description and the questions in full.
The attorney or a paralegal calls the client to ask for a missing paper, such as a certificate or a notice. The client says what they have and where it is, and the paper itself is sent separately.
The attorney calls to tell the client what happened in the case and what comes next, such as a new notice or a date. A short call keeps the client informed without a visit.
Phone consultations
A consultation is held by phone when it is short and nobody needs to see a form. The attorney or the client arranges the call, and everyone dials in from where they are. Phone is also used when the client cannot join by video, or when no interpreter for the language works nearby. A long meeting over forms goes better by video or in person.

The attorney and the client dial in to the same call, and a paralegal may join to take notes. The interpreter dials in too, and once everyone is on the line, the interpreter can add another person to the call. Anyone can join from any phone, with no app or link.
On a call nobody can see who is about to speak, so the speakers take turns. Each speaker pauses after a part, and the interpreter then interprets it in full into the other language. The interpreter is neutral, keeps the call confidential, and does not give advice or opinions of their own.
Attorney to client
Client to attorney
Nothing can be shown during a call, so papers the attorney needs to read should reach the attorney before it starts. Put the client's name and the kind of case in the booking notes, so the interpreter can prepare the terms.
Sou plas, pa videyo oswa pa telefòn
Phone saves setup, but nothing can be shown on a call. Choose by what the attorney and the client need to look at.

Book an interpreter in person for the USCIS interview, which we interpret on-site only, and for long meetings at your office.
Entèpretasyon sou plas pou konsiltasyon ak avoka imigrasyon
Choose video when the attorney and the client go through a form or a draft declaration on screen.
Entèpretasyon a distans pa videyo pou konsiltasyon ak avoka imigrasyon
Phone fits a first conversation, a request for a missing paper or a short update, when nothing needs to be shown.

Ou pa jwenn sa w ap chèche a?
Name the interpreter in the booking notes. We book the service rather than a particular person, so we take the request into account and assign them when they are available.
Yes. Once everyone is on the line, the interpreter can add a third person to the call.
We can change the booking to a video session, subject to the interpreter's availability.
Not unless you ask. Every session falls under an NDA, and connections are encrypted.
The price is for the time you book, and the total shows before you pay. Book enough time for the whole call, because the interpreter is reserved for all of it and unused time is not refunded.
