Interpretation demand is heaviest in naturalization, hospital geriatrics, and legal aid. Dialect matters — Northern (Hanoi), Central (Huế), and Southern (Saigon) Vietnamese have clear phonological and lexical differences.
Typical Vietnamese bookings
Courses we interpret
A video interpreter works with trainings that run live on a call. Send the outline or the slides in the booking notes, so the interpreter can prepare the terms.
A live compliance course has a trainer teaching a group on a video call. The interpreter joins as a guest and interprets each part, and the course outline in the notes helps with the terms.
Safety rules can be taught over video to workers at several sites. The trainer shares slides and pauses, and the interpreter interprets the warnings and the numbers exactly as said.
HR or a manager goes through a new policy or the code of conduct with a whole team. Send the policy document with the booking, so the interpreter knows the terms.
Employees learn a new product or a process step on a live call. Send the manual or the process document ahead, so the interpreter can prepare the names of the parts and the steps.
Training by video
Trainings are usually held in a classroom at the employer's site. They are held by video when employees work at different locations or from home, so the trainer teaches everyone on one call. Video is also chosen when no interpreter for the language works near the group. The trainer sends one link, and the interpreter joins as a guest.

The trainer teaches over video and shares slides on screen. The employees attend from their own locations, listen and ask questions. A supervisor can join the call to follow the lesson. The interpreter joins for the employees' language, and a booking uses one interpreter for English and one other language.
On a video call the interpreter is one more voice, so the trainer pauses after a few sentences and hands the floor to them. The interpreter then interprets that part in full, with figures and warnings exactly as said, and interprets the employees' questions back to the trainer. The interpreter stays neutral, does not add teaching of their own, and keeps what they hear confidential.
A live course
An interpreter joins a live session at the booked time, so the course has to run live while the interpreter is on the call. A recorded or self-paced course has no live speaker to interpret. Share the slides on screen so the interpreter can follow them, and plan a longer session, because the trainer pauses after every few sentences.
On-site, video or phone
Video suits a live course when the employees are in different places. On-site and phone work better in the cases below.

Book an interpreter in the room for safety or equipment training, where the group sits together with the trainer.
On-Site Interpretation for Employee Training Sessions
Video fits when employees join from different sites or from home and the trainer shares slides.

Phone fits a short policy briefing for drivers or field staff when there are no slides.

Yes, with one booking for each language, and both bookings can share the same link. Each booking has its own interpreter.
Name the interpreter in the booking notes. We book the service rather than a particular person, so we take the request into account and assign them when they are available.
You are charged for the hours you book, and the total shows before you pay. Count the pauses when you plan the length of the course, because unused time is not refunded.

Yes. Court-certified and medically credentialed Vietnamese interpreters are assigned to legal and clinical matters — Federal Court Interpreter Certification, state court rosters, CCHI / NBCMI for medical. For community, educational and corporate settings we assign professionally trained interpreters matched to the subject.
Southern Vietnamese (Saigon) is most common in U.S. communities outside the DMV; Northern Vietnamese is used in government and formal media. We match dialect to the speaker's region of origin.
