Visits held by video
Video interpreters for medical clinics for telehealth, exam rooms with a tablet and teletherapy
Each card is a kind of visit that clinics hold with the interpreter on a screen. Cards that have a page of their own link to it.
Telehealth visits
The visit runs on the clinic's own telehealth platform, and the interpreter is added as a guest.
Some examiners hold psychological evaluations and follow-up interviews by video where they allow it, and the clinic that schedules the exam books the interpreter.
Clinics use video in two ways. In a telehealth visit, the doctor and the patient are in different places, and the interpreter joins the same call as a guest. In an exam room visit, the patient and the doctor sit together and the interpreter appears on a tablet. Video also fits when no interpreter for the language works near the clinic, since interpreters join from anywhere in the US.
Who takes part
The doctor or nurse practitioner leads the visit, and the patient answers and asks questions. A nurse or medical assistant may join to measure or take notes, and a relative may sit next to the patient. The interpreter is on the screen and interprets for everyone who speaks, so the relative can follow the doctor as well.

The interpreter's role
The interpreter's job on the screen is the same as in the room, to make the visit as clear as one held in a single language. A patient's question gets the same full interpretation as the doctor's, and the speaker waits at the end of each part so nothing is cut. The interpreter stays neutral, does not advise the patient, and keeps the visit confidential.

Before the visit
Add the link and notes to the booking, such as the doctor's name, the kind of visit and any terms the interpreter should know. Send the same link to the patient and to anyone who will join, because the interpreter joins that link as a guest. A telehealth follow-up takes longer with an interpreter, so book a little more than the usual slot.
On-site, video or phone
Choosing between video, on-site and phone for clinic visits
Video works when the patient or the doctor is somewhere else. In the cases below, another setting is the better choice.
On-site
Book an interpreter in person for a procedure, or for a patient who finds screens hard to use.
Enter the visit date, start time, the platform, the patient's language and the kind of visit. The price for the booked hours shows right away.

Pay online to confirm. In your dashboard, add the meeting link, or ask for a Texliff room link, and notes such as the doctor's name and the reason for the visit.

Can't find it here?
01Our telehealth platform will not let a guest join. What do we do?
Ask for a Texliff room link when you book, and we add it to the project so you can send it to the patient and the doctor. It opens in a browser with nothing to install.
02Is a BAA available for telehealth visits?
Yes, healthcare customers can have a BAA. Every session is under an NDA, and connections are encrypted.
03Can a family member join from a separate device?
Yes. Anyone with the meeting link can join, and the interpreter interprets for them in the same session.
04How is a video visit priced?
Video visits are charged by the booked hour, with the total shown before you pay. Unused time is not refunded, because the interpreter is reserved for the whole booking, so book the full visit slot.
05Can the same interpreter join a patient's weekly sessions?
Name the interpreter in the booking notes. We book the service rather than a particular person, so we take the request into account and assign them when they are available.
06Which languages are available for clinic video visits?
70 languages. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Korean and Haitian Creole are the easiest to book. A rare language such as Burmese or Pashto needs more notice, and the interpreter can join from any state.
07Are your Hebrew interpreters certified?
Yes. Court-certified and medically credentialed Hebrew interpreters are assigned to legal and clinical matters — Federal Court Interpreter Certification, state court rosters, CCHI / NBCMI for medical. For community, educational and corporate settings we assign professionally trained interpreters matched to the subject.
