Typical Kreyòl ayisyen bookings
Briefings by phone
A phone briefing works when employees cannot gather in one room and the message needs no slides. Employers book it in these situations.
A manager explains a new rule, a changed schedule or a reminder about procedures to employees who speak another language. Send the written policy beforehand, so the interpreter knows the terms.
Drivers and field staff work along routes and at many sites, so a briefing by phone reaches them without a room. Anyone with a phone can dial in, and no app or link is needed.
A supervisor repeats a safety rule to employees who speak another language, in short parts. A lesson that needs slides or a demonstration is better held on video or in person.
Phone briefings
A briefing by phone is used for short messages that need no slides, such as a policy update for drivers or field staff who are not in one place. A full training with slides or a demonstration is held in person or on video instead. Phone also helps when no interpreter for the language works near the employees, since the interpreter dials in from anywhere.

The trainer or manager dials in and gives the briefing. The employees dial in from their own phones and can ask questions. A supervisor may join to follow the message. The interpreter dials in too, and can add a third party to the call once everyone is on the line.
With no faces to watch, the interpreter keeps the turns clear by interpreting after each part the trainer finishes. Every part is interpreted in full, and the employees' questions are interpreted back to the trainer. The interpreter is neutral, keeps the briefing confidential, and does not add rules or examples of their own.
A policy point
Nothing can be shown on the call, so send the written policy to the employees beforehand, and add it to the booking for the interpreter. Keep the message to a few points, and let the trainer pause after each one. A longer lesson is held on video or in person.
Sou plas, pa videyo oswa pa telefòn
Phone fits a short message. A lesson with slides or a classroom needs another setting.

Book an interpreter in the room for a lesson that needs a demonstration or a classroom, such as forklift or machine training.
Entèpretasyon sou plas pou fòmasyon anplwaye
Video is better when the trainer shares slides or walks through a process on screen.
Entèpretasyon a distans pa videyo pou fòmasyon anplwaye
Phone fits a policy briefing that is a few points long, with nothing to show on screen.

Meeting minutes and company contracts, translated into English for the manager who gives the briefing.
Academic transcripts, translated into English for an employee's file.
