What to know about phone interpreters for real estate clients

When phone is used

Agencies book a phone interpreter for short calls that do not need a document on screen, such as an update on an offer, a question from a tenant or a reminder of what to bring to the closing. A client with no video can take part, and the interpreter can dial in from anywhere, so a language with no interpreter near the agency can still be booked.

Who is on the line

The agent or property manager calls the client, who may be a buyer, a seller or a tenant. A representative of the other side, such as a listing agent or a landlord, can be on the same call. Everyone dials in to the number in the confirmation, and the interpreter dials in too.

The interpreter's role

The call runs by turns. The agent speaks, then pauses, and the interpreter gives that part to the client in their language. The client answers, and the interpreter gives the answer back to the agent. Everything is interpreted in full. The interpreter stays neutral, keeps the client's details confidential, and does not give advice about a price, a property or a decision.

Documents before the call

Nothing can be shown on a phone call, so the client needs the paper first. Send the offer, the lease or the list of closing documents beforehand, and say which page or line you mean as you go. Put the property address and the names of the parties in the booking notes.

Presencial, por video o por teléfono

Choosing between phone, video and on-site for real estate calls

Phone suits a quick call that needs only voices. Pick another setting when the client has to look at a page.

Cómo funciona

How real estate agencies book a phone interpreter

Enter the date, start time and the client's language, and say what the call is about, such as an offer update or a lease question. The price for the time you book shows right away.

  2. Haga su pedido

Pay online to confirm. The dial-in number and the access code appear in your dashboard, ready to give to the client and the other side.

Our dispatcher picks an interpreter who has worked calls like this one, and the name comes to you in the confirmation.

  4. Únase a su sesión

At the booked time, each person dials in from any phone, with no app or link, and the call starts when the agent and the client are on the line.

Qué recibe

  • The interpreter's name, sent before the call.
  • The dial-in number and access code for the client and the other side's agent.
  • A confirmation in your dashboard and by email, with the call notes you added.

Preguntas frecuentes

Questions from real estate agencies about phone interpreters

01Can the interpreter add the other side's agent after the call starts?

Yes. Once everyone is on the line, the interpreter can add a third party, such as the listing agent or the landlord.

02What if the client wants to look at the contract during the call?

Tell us before the call, and we move the booking to video if an interpreter is available at that time.

03Is a phone interpreter enough for a lease signing?

Phone suits questions about the lease before or after the signing. For the signing itself, book an interpreter in person, so the client can read the pages as they are explained.

04How is a phone call priced?

Priced by the time you book, with the total shown before you pay. Allow some extra time, because the call runs by turns, and unused time is not refunded.

05Is the call recorded?

We record a call only when you ask us to. The interpreter is under an NDA, as in every session.

06¿Qué idiomas cubren por teléfono?

70 languages. Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog and Arabic are the easiest to schedule, and rare languages such as Burmese or Pashto need more notice.
