La demanda de interpretación es más alta en naturalización, geriatría hospitalaria y asistencia legal. El dialecto importa: el vietnamita del norte (Hanói), central (Huế) y sur (Saigón) tiene diferencias fonológicas y léxicas claras.
Typical Vietnamita bookings
Calls agencies make
Staff can reach a resident in the resident's language from any desk. Cards with a link lead to the phone page for that call.
Some agencies hold hearings by phone, and the interpreter dials in to the same line as the hearing officer, the agency representative and the resident.
Llamadas habituales
A clerk calls an applicant about a missing document or the next step, and the interpreter interprets both sides of the call.
Llamadas habituales
A public health nurse checks in with a patient by phone, and the interpreter can add the patient to the call once everyone is on the line.
Llamadas habituales
The clinic that schedules an exam calls the claimant to take the history and set the appointment, and the interpreter interprets the call.

Staff answer a resident's questions about a program or a complaint the resident filed, and the interpreter makes the call as clear as it would be in English.

Agencies by phone
Staff use phone for conversations a resident can have from anywhere, such as an application follow-up, a hearing the agency holds by phone or a check-in from a health program. The resident needs only a phone, with no app and no link. An agency can book a rare language even when nobody near the office speaks it, since the interpreter dials in from wherever they work.

A staff member places the call, and a hearing officer runs a hearing held by phone. A nurse takes part in a health program call, and a clinic staff member can join a disability exam intake. The resident answers and asks questions. The interpreter dials in too, so everyone hears each other over one line.
On a call there is no face to see, so the interpreter lets each speaker finish and then interprets that part in full. The resident's reply goes back to the staff member the same way, in both directions. The interpreter stays neutral, keeps the call confidential, and does not explain agency decisions or tell the resident what to do.
On a call
Nothing can be shown on a call, so a form the resident needs has to reach them before it starts. The confirmation holds the dial-in number and the access code, and a staff member who books for a team can pass them to the person making the call. For a hearing, the hearing officer, the agency representative and the resident all dial in to the same number at the booked time.
Presencial, por video o por teléfono
Phone needs nothing from the resident but a phone. Choose by whether anything has to be shown.

Send an interpreter to the address when the resident comes in for a counter visit, an exam or an inspection.
Interpretación presencial para agencias gubernamentales
Video fits sessions where a form or evidence has to be shown on screen, or where staff want to see the resident.
Interpretación remota por video para agencias gubernamentales
Phone fits calls that collect information, explain a notice or set a time, and hearings the agency chooses to hold by phone.

Preguntas frecuentes
Las preguntas que escuchamos con más frecuencia, respondidas por nuestros equipos de despacho y gestión de proyectos.
¿No encuentra lo que busca?
The agency does. Pass on the date and time, the dial-in number and the access code with the other details of the appointment.
Yes. After everyone is on the line, the interpreter can add a third party, such as a program manager at another office.
Ask us to change the booking to a video session. The change depends on the interpreter's availability.
Yes. If the agency has no conference line, use the dial-in number and access code in your confirmation. If the agency has its own line, the interpreter dials in to it.
The price is for the time you book, and the total shows before you pay. A hearing can run past its scheduled end, so book more time than the notice shows.
70 languages. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic and Korean are the easiest to schedule by phone. Rare languages, such as Burmese or Pashto, need more notice.
