Kinds of remote audits
A remote audit moves the floor and the records onto a screen. An interpreter joins by video for the kinds of audits below, and the notes you add to the booking reach the interpreter beforehand.
A customer's auditor reviews a supplier's plant by video, and the interpreter joins the call for the plant manager and the staff. Staff carry a phone or tablet through the floor, so the auditor can see each area.
An auditor from a certification body holds the meetings and goes through the records by video. The interpreter joins as a guest, and records in the plant's language can be translated into English before the call.
A social compliance auditor speaks with workers by video, with no managers present. The interpreter interprets in full and keeps each interview confidential, so the auditor hears the worker's own words.
Remote audits
A factory audit is held by video when the auditor cannot be at the plant, such as when the plant is in another state or the audit plan allows a remote review. Video is also chosen when no interpreter for the plant's language works near the plant, since our video interpreters join from anywhere in the US. A member of the plant staff carries a phone or tablet through the floor, and the auditor looks at each area on the screen.
The auditor joins from their own location and leads the audit. The plant manager and other plant staff answer questions on the call, while a member of the plant staff shows the floor on a phone or tablet. Workers are interviewed without managers present. The interpreter is one more guest on the call and interprets for everyone who speaks the other language.
The interpreter's job is to make a remote audit as clear as an audit held in one language. The auditor's questions reach the plant in full, and the answers reach the auditor in full, whether they are about a process, a record or the area on the screen. The interpreter is neutral, gives no advice on how to answer, and keeps worker interviews confidential.
About the floor
Private interview
Worker interviews are held without managers present. On platforms with breakout rooms, such as Zoom, the host moves the interpreter into the interview room, and the auditor and the worker speak in turns. Questions about an area on the screen are interpreted the same way, one speaker at a time. Add the interview times to the booking notes, so the host knows when to move the interpreter.

Video works when the audit itself is remote. If the auditor needs to walk the plant, an interpreter at the plant is the better choice.

Each booking has English and one other language. A second language needs a second booking, and both interpreters can join the same link.
By the hour, for the hours you book, and the total shows before you pay. Book the whole schedule, including the floor tour, because the interpreter is reserved for the full booking and unused time is not refunded.
We do not record sessions unless you ask. Connections are encrypted, and every session is covered by an NDA.
