Hebrew divorce records come mostly from Israel. A Jewish divorce is handled by the rabbinical court, which records the divorce and oversees the get, the religious deed of divorce. Other communities use their own religious courts, and some cases are decided by the family court, which issues a judgment. The Population and Immigration Authority then updates the marital status in the population registry, and the Tamsit Rishum (registration extract) lists the dates of marriage and divorce. Older copies can be handwritten. U.S. offices usually want the court's certificate or judgment. We translate the certificate or judgment you hold, complete and front and back.

Texliff's certified Hebrew translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. USCIS officers look for the date the divorce became final and match both spouses' names against the marriage record and the passport. Courts and clerks read the name of the issuing court, the case number and the ruling itself. Dates often appear in the Hebrew calendar and the Gregorian calendar, so the translation shows both and makes the Gregorian date clear. The signed statement of accuracy is what each of them files with the translation.

Upload a photo or a scan of the divorce certificate, front and back. The word count sets the price and it shows before you order. A native Hebrew translator who works on civil and court records translates it, and a second linguist reviews the names, dates and case numbers. You follow each step in your dashboard. The signed PDF arrives with a Certificate of Accuracy, and a mailed hard copy is available on request. Rush options are available.
Each spouse's name is spelled the way the passport spells it, and Hebrew and secular given names appear as registered. The date the divorce was granted and the date it became final are not always the same, so the translator keeps them apart. Any date in the Hebrew calendar is converted to Gregorian and shown next to the original. The court name, the case file number and the titles of the judges are copied exactly. Stamps and signatures are described where they sit, and handwritten notes in the margin are translated in full.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Israeli records may list both Hebrew and secular given names; each appears in the translation exactly as registered. Hebrew is written right-to-left; names are romanized to match passport spellings, since Hebrew spelling omits most vowels and one name supports several English renderings.
Israeli documents often carry Hebrew calendar dates alongside Gregorian ones — both are rendered, with the Gregorian equivalent clear.
