Hungarian divorce papers come mostly from Hungary, and from Hungarian-speaking families in Slovakia, Romania and Serbia. In Hungary a court ends the marriage, so there is no separate divorce certificate. The document is the divorce order (válási végzés), a white court copy given to both parties, and certified copies can be requested from the court that decided the case. The marriage certificate from the anyakönyvi hivatal also carries a remark that the marriage was dissolved, but a U.S. office usually wants the order itself. We translate the version you were issued, complete, with every page and stamp.

Texliff's certified Hungarian translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. For a Hungarian divorce order, USCIS officers look for the court's name, the date the order became final and both spouses' names, which must match the marriage certificate and the passports. Courts and state agencies read the same order for remarriage, name changes and support. Hungarian dates run year first, so the translation spells out the month. The signed statement of accuracy is what each office files with the translation.

Upload a photo or a scan of the végzés, every page and any stamped back. The word count sets the price and it shows before you order. A native Hungarian translator who works on court and civil records translates it, a second linguist checks the names, dates and the line that says the order is final, and you follow each step in your dashboard. The signed PDF arrives with a Certificate of Accuracy, and a mailed hard copy is available on request. Rush options are available.
Hungarian names run family name first, so the translation shows which is the given name and which is the family name, spelled as the passport spells them. Dates written 1990. 05. 12. become May 12, 1990. The case number, the court's name and the date the order became final (jogerős) are copied exactly. Seals and signatures are described where they sit. Rulings on children, support and property are translated in full, and any handwritten note in the margin is included.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Hungarian names run family name first in the original; the translation notes the order so the given and family names cannot be confused. Hungarian uses the Latin alphabet with double accents (ő, ű) — preserved in names exactly as issued.
Hungarian dates run year-first (1990. 05. 12.) and are converted to standard Western dates.
