In Indonesia a divorce is ended by a court. Couples married under Islamic law go to the Pengadilan Agama, which issues the Akta Cerai. Other couples go to the Pengadilan Negeri, and the decree is reported to the civil registration office (Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil) and noted against the marriage record. That marriage is proved by the Buku Nikah from the Kantor Urusan Agama or by the Akta Perkawinan from the civil registry, and recent copies of both can carry a QR code. U.S. offices usually want the decree or Akta Cerai together with the marriage record. We translate the version you were issued, complete, front and back.

Texliff's certified Indonesian translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. When a petition follows an earlier marriage, officers look for the date the divorce became final and for names that match the marriage record and the passport. Courts and county clerks read the court's name, the case number and the line that says the decree is binding. The day-first dates are written out in full so no month can be misread. The signed statement of accuracy is what each office files with the translation.

Take a photo or scan of the Akta Cerai or the court decree, every page, front and back. The word count sets the price, and you see it before you order. A native Indonesian translator who works on court and civil records translates the file. A second linguist then reviews the names, dates, case numbers and seals. You follow each step in your dashboard. The signed PDF arrives with a Certificate of Accuracy, a mailed hard copy can be requested, and rush options are available.
Many Indonesians carry a single name with no surname, so each name is rendered as issued and no family name is invented. Names are matched to the passport and to the marriage record. Dates are day first and become unambiguous English dates. The court's name, the case number and the Akta Cerai number are copied exactly. Court seals, stamps and QR codes are described where they sit. The sentence that states when the decree took effect is translated word for word, because that is what an officer reads.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Many Indonesians are registered under a single name with no surname; the translation renders the name as issued rather than fabricating a family name. Indonesian uses the Latin alphabet; names are preserved exactly as registered.
Dates are day-first and are re-expressed unambiguously.
