Kinyarwanda divorce records we translate come mostly from Rwanda, with some from Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A divorce ends by court judgment, so the paper you hold is usually the judgment itself, sometimes with a certificate or extract that records it. In Rwanda the marriage was registered by a sector civil registration office. Send the acte de mariage with the judgment if you have it, because the livret de mariage is not legal proof of the marriage. In Uganda a divorce can only be obtained by court order. We translate the judgment and any certificate as issued, every page and both sides.

Texliff's certified Kinyarwanda translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. For a Kinyarwanda divorce certificate, USCIS officers look for the date the divorce became final and for names that match the marriage record and the passport. Courts read the operative lines of the judgment, including custody and support terms. State agencies read the date and the court that ruled before they update a record or allow a remarriage. The signed statement of accuracy is what each of them files with the translation.

and the registrars, employers and banks that ask for a certified translation
Upload a photo or a scan of the divorce certificate or judgment, front and back. The word count sets the price and it shows before you order. A native Kinyarwanda translator who works on court and civil records translates it, and a second linguist checks the names, the dates and the finality line. You follow each step in your dashboard. The signed PDF arrives with a Certificate of Accuracy, and a mailed hard copy is available on request. Rush options are available.
Each party's name is written the way the passport and the marriage record spell it. Rwandan names are individual rather than inherited, so a reordered name can look like a different person. Dates are day first, and the translation spells out the month. The date the judgment became final, the case number and the court's name are copied exactly. Seals and signatures are described where they sit, and later notes or stamps are translated too. Custody and support terms are translated in full, with amounts shown and the currency named.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Rwandan surnames are individual rather than inherited family names; the translation renders each person’s name exactly as registered. Kinyarwanda uses the Latin alphabet, and Rwandan records are often trilingual with French and English; the translation renders every non-English portion.
Dates are day-first and are re-expressed unambiguously.
