Korean divorce records come from South Korea, where a divorce takes effect when reported to the local Si, Gu, Eup or Myeon office. Those offices, and the court's online service at efamily.scourt.go.kr, print the Marriage Relations Certificate (Honin Gwangye Jeungmyeongseo, Sangse). The detailed version is the one that shows the divorce entry. A marriage recorded before 2008 may sit in the older Family Census Register (Jejeok Deungbon). Certified copies are not issued, so the printout you hold, with its issuance confirmation number, is the version to send. We translate that printout in full, and the court decision if one came with it.

Texliff's certified Korean translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. USCIS officers read the divorce entry and its date to confirm that a prior marriage ended before the new one began, and they match both spouses' names to the passports. Courts and clerks check the date the divorce was reported, because that is when it took effect. Dates written year first become standard English dates. The signed statement of accuracy is what each of them files with the translation.

Upload a photo or a scan of the divorce record, front and back if the back carries anything. The word count sets the price, and it shows before you order. A native Korean translator who works on civil records does the translation, then a second linguist reviews the names, the divorce date and the issuance number. You follow the order in your dashboard. The signed PDF comes with a Certificate of Accuracy, and a mailed hard copy is available on request. Rush options are available.
The family name comes first on the Korean divorce record, and the translation follows the spelling in each spouse's passport so the names match the rest of the file. Dates written as year, month and day become unambiguous English dates, and the divorce date is kept apart from the earlier marriage date. The issuance confirmation number, the registration reference and the title of the chief of the issuing office are copied exactly. The office seal and the court emblem printed in the background are described where they sit.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Korean names put the family name first; the translation follows the passport rendering so the name matches the rest of the file. Korean is written in Hangul; names are romanized under the Revised Romanization system or matched to the spelling already on a passport, and hanja name characters are noted where the record prints them.
Dates are written year-first (1990년 5월 12일) and are converted to standard Western dates.
