The Slovak divorce document is a court judgment, not a registry certificate. It is the rozsudok issued by the district court (okresný súd) that heard the case. It carries the court's blue rubber stamp in the upper left corner, and the judge's signature and the case number in the upper right. Many judgments also rule on children, support and property. The finality note (doložka právoplatnosti) shows the date the judgment took effect, and that date is what U.S. offices look for. Extra copies from the court carry a fee. We translate the judgment you were issued, complete, with every stamp.

Texliff's certified Slovak translations are accepted by USCIS, the National Visa Center, state agencies, DMVs, schools and universities, courts and more. For a divorce judgment, officers look for the date it became final and for both spouses' names matching the passports and the marriage certificate. A wife's surname often ends in -ová on the judgment and may differ from her birth surname. Courts and clerks read the case number and the rulings on custody and support. The signed statement of accuracy is what each of them files with the translation.

and the employers, banks and insurers that ask for a certified translation
Upload a photo or a scan of the judgment, every page, with the stamp and signatures inside the frame. The word count sets the price and it shows before you order. A native Slovak translator who works on court and civil records translates it, a second linguist checks the names, the case number and the finality date, and you follow each step in your dashboard. The signed PDF arrives with a Certificate of Accuracy. A mailed hard copy is available on request, and rush options are available.
Names stay as the court registered them, with marks such as á, č and š kept and the -ová surname endings left as written. Dates are written day first, and the translation spells out the month. The case number in the upper right and the date of the finality note are copied exactly. The blue stamp of the district court and the judge's signature are described where they sit. Rulings on custody, support and property are translated in full, together with the legal references the court cites.

Yes. Every certified translation includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy meeting USCIS requirements, and the same format is accepted by courts, universities, and licensing boards.
Slovak female surnames typically take the -ová ending; each person’s surname is rendered exactly as registered. Slovak uses the Latin alphabet with diacritics (č, ľ, š, ž) — all preserved in names.
Dates are day-first and are converted to unambiguous English dates.
